Save energy? Discover different ways
There are many ways to save energy in your home. Reducing your energy consumption is not only good for the environment, but can also help lower your energy bills. Here are some tips to save energy.
Save energy with lighting
Replace traditional light bulbs with energy-efficient LED bulbs. They use much less energy and last longer.
Install a programmable thermostat. It allows you to control and adjust the temperature in your home based on your daily schedule. Turn down the thermostat when you are sleeping or away from home.
Energy efficient appliances
Choose energy-efficient appliances with a high energy label. These use significantly less energy than older models.
Turn off appliances and lights when you are not using them. Many electronic devices still consume energy in standby mode.
Save energy by showering efficiently
Limit the time you spend in the shower, set a small alarm and use a water-saving shower head if possible.
Ensure good air circulation in your home. This allows warm air to spread evenly, meaning you don't have to use the heating or air conditioning as much.
Form energy-efficient habits, such as closing the door when the heat is on, not charging electrical appliances at night, and wearing season-appropriate clothing to allow you to turn down the thermostat.
Save energy with the Compofloor
The Compofloor provides a well-insulated floor. This limits heat loss and the rise of cold, so that you always enjoy a warm floor, especially if you combine this with underfloor heating. This means you have to burn less and therefore save energy.
Save energy in small (or large) steps
Every little bit really helps. And if you make all those small savings, it will pay off quite a bit in the end. Just being aware of sometimes “bad” habits will save you energy very quickly. If you want to take bigger steps, choose the Compofloor. Curious about what this can do for you? Please contact us and we will be happy to tell you.
